Stephen McNeill - The Art of Repair
New album, The Art of Repair, coming October 15
The Art of Repair is a collection of songs about putting the pieces back together after a season of loss. Inspired by the ancient Japanese art of kintsugi, in which craftsmen mend broken pottery with gold lacquer, the album explores the experience of restoring broken relationships instead of discarding them
. The fractures are not hidden but instead are illuminated to become something more beautiful for once having been shattered.
Recorded at Young Avenue Sound with engineer Calvin Lauber, the record features a band consisting of Andrew McNeill on drums, Carl Casperson on upright bass, Jon Gaines on piano, and Nathan Dugger on pedal steel.

Dale Baker - aka - The Maudlin Fee
The Maudlin Fee is the solo project of Dale Baker, an American indie folk singer and drummer currently living in Durham, NC.
Formative years were filled with the music of Porter Wagoner and Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Johnny Horton and The Florida Boys. Bluegrass and old time gospel music were also early influences.
In college, Baker studied jazz and world music at the University of North Texas.
Later he joined Sixpence None the Richer. With them he recorded 5 albums, sold millions of records, toured the world, and was nominated for several awards (including two Grammy’s), culminating in three top ten singles (with the songs Kiss Me, There She Goes, and Breathe Your Name).
After a brief stint in the band Over the Rhine, Baker found success as a freelance drummer, performing and recording with Buddy Miller, Chris Stamey, Stephen Kellogg, Thad Cockrell et.al.
In 2013 he became one of the core touring members of Big Star’s Third Live (documented in the 2017 DVD release of “Thank You Friends” on Concord Bicycle Music), a concert event celebrating the music of Big Star, featuring a rotating roster of guest performers including members of Wilco, The Posies, REM, Beck, Dawes, Tom Petty, The dB's, Yo La Tengo and the Kronos Quartet.
In February 2018, Baker began exclusively debuting his songs via the direct-to-fan distribution platform, Noisetrade.
In July of 2018, Noisetrade featured The Maudlin Fee as "New and Notable," bringing attention to the release of his EP, "So Far."

Linda Znachko – Episode 435
Linda Znachko is the founder of He Knows Your Name ministry and author of the nationally recognized and award winning book, He Knows Your Name, How One Abandoned Baby Inspired Me to Say YES to God.
Rooted in the conviction that every life is sacred to God, and that naming children matters deeply, this ministry gives children dignity and honor in death by celebrating their LIFE.
Linda’s work was featured on a cover story by the Indianapolis Star, featured on the Steve Harvey Show and the Harvest Show , interviewed on ‘In the Market’ with Janet Parshall, as a guest on Ann Voskamp’s website, and highlighted in countless local and regional media outlets.
For her work with families and children, Linda has received the McMiracle Award from Miracle on 38th St. Foundation, Jefferson Award from ABC News, United Way “100 Heroes Award” Winner, and the Angel Award from Benedict Inn .
Having taught and discipled women for over twenty-five years, Linda has been a speaker for churches and retreats. She and her high school sweetheart, husband Steve, launched a Foundation, funding ministries around the globe, and also serve as advocates for Safe Families for Children. Steve and Linda attend Antioch Church in Indianapolis where they raised their 4 children. One of Linda’s greatest joys is being called “Honey” by her grandchildren, Rose Jubilee and Smith Moses!
The Birth of a Ministry
He Knows Your Name was birthed in October of 2009 when the body of a newborn baby, dressed only in a diaper, was discovered in downtown Indianapolis. Three thoughts rang through my head:
A dumpster is NOT a grave!
A diaper is NOT a burial gown! And Doe is NOT a name!
Sadly it is a fact that, even with the Safe Haven law, babies are still abandoned, buried in nameless graves, with no headstone to mark either their deaths or – more importantly – their lives.
He Knows Your Name Ministry strives to ensure that every child receives a name in life and dignity and honor in death.
Linda would like to acknowledge and thank her many partners, whom work together with He Knows Your Name:
Thomas Monument, Little Angel Gowns, Indiana Funeral Care and Washington Park East.

For The Fatherless Podcast – Episode 434
My guests this week on Voices In My Head are Brian and Christa Yak, also known as the musical duo, For The Fatherless. Offering hope for those without an earthly father is a foundational platform of Brian and Christa’ ministry. Having experienced fatherlessness firsthand—Brian was abandoned as an infant by his biological father, while Christa lost her dad to cancer during her childhood—today they proclaim the wholeness and healing found in our ultimate Father, God. Bringing their journey full circle, the couple became parents to a son, Jonathan, last year.
This past July, For The Fatherless released Poetry, an autobiographical four-song set hallmarked by vulnerability and hope. Co-penned together by the Brian and Christa Yak and brimming with vibrant pop production from Bryan Fowler (TobyMac, Gabby Barrett) and Austin Cannon, the EP celebrates God’s faithfulness in every season.
Brian and Christa have stopped by the podcast for a visit today.

Episode 429 - Weston Skaggs: Rich Man
Wednesday Jul 21, 2021
Wednesday Jul 21, 2021
Old Bear Records Recording Artist Weston Skaggs
With lyrics like "Woe to you rich man.." and "be sure your sin will find you out," Weston Skaggs wastes no time in diving deep into themes that are taken directly from the Bible on his new single, "Rich Man" set to release through Old Bear Records on July 16th. Much like Keith Green, or Larry Norman before him, Weston Skaggs's style of a mix of baritone and falsetto voice undergirded and wrapped with music and arrangements that could have been written and arranged by Brian Wilson or the Flaming Lips attracts a listening ear to the interesting instrumentation at play that softens the very direct and powerful truths conveyed in his lyrics.
By the time you realize you are being challenged with a song that could double as a sermon, its too late. You're already invested by the sweeping sounds, and pleasant melodies coming through your speakers or air pods. In a way, "Rich Man" is an audio trojan horse of sorts and we're here for it. This is a song that is clear in its presentation of the Gospel and its primary transgressor in need of grace (you'll find as you reach the end of the song) is the performer himself.
Weston Skaggs joins me today for a conversation about his latest single, RICH MAN.
